Native Sun
The power of three come together when B Meeks (bass), Sleepy (drums) and B Young (emcee) intertwine their diverse individual musical backgrounds into one artful intention, interweaving gospel, rock, electronic, jazz and soul, anchored by lyrics of authenticity, thought, and hope. This unique symphony of uncommon sounds was established in this new album with the arrival of Aakash (engineer/producer), a fourth power, anchoring the dynamic delivery of life’s struggle, passion from within, and a deep yearning for unity in a critical time of division and pain. With a sincere return to substance in sound and word, the album transforms traditional methodology into an unconventional presentation, rounding out the evolutionary genre of hip hop from Indy.
